Texas' Ehlinger creates fundraiser for COVID-19 relief
Longhorn quarterback Sam Ehlinger is joining other college football stars to try and help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Ehlinger announced Friday on social media that he's started a GoFundMe with the aim of raising $1 million.
Please share with friends and family and let’s raise $1,000,000 for COVID-19 Relief. Shoutout @Trevorlawrencee and his girlfriend, Marissa, for setting a great example with their fundraising platform. Link to donate and share is in my bio and attached below.

Ehlinger said the money will go to national and local causes, such as the Boys and Girls Club of America, Austin's Pets Alive, and the Central Texas Food Bank.
Clemson qb Trevor Lawrence and his girlfriend, Marissa Mowry, began their own GoFundMe for COVID-19 relief efforts on Tuesday. The page was briefly deactivated based on orders from Clemson's compliance department, but the NCAA finally stepped in and allowed the fundraiser to resume.
Ehlinger applauded Lawrence and Mowry, who plays soccer at Anderson University, for their "incredible" idea. He also credited Texas and the NCAA for allowing him to create his own fundraising effort.
As of Friday evening, Ehlinger has raised nearly $19,000.
